Foleada

  • Prohibition Cellars 19501 144th Ave NE F-900 Woodinville, WA 98072 USA (map)

Foleada is a six-piece band based in Seattle that plays Forró, the rhythmic Brazilian music and the popular partner dance of the same name. Featuring charismatic Brazilian vocalist/percussionist Adriana Giordano, the music is led by accordionists Jamie Maschler and Gabe Hall-Rodrigues, joined by Michael Catts on bass, percussionists Jeff Busch and Sam Esecson on pandeiro (Brazilian tambourine) and zabumba (Afro-Brazilian drum).

Foleada delivers music with a rich range of Forró rhythms and tempos, from fast and feisty to slow and bluesy. You can dance Forró style, or bring out the swing and slow-dance moves you already know, or just relax and groove. We love bringing the vital energy of Forró to new audiences and getting everyone out on the dance floor! Reserve your table here.
