Tacoma musician Jesse Turcotte brings an entire band’s worth of sound to the stage with PRETTYFUNKDUB, his live-looping instrumental project built around laid-back reggae, dub, funk, soul, and old-school hip-hop. Layer by layer, Jesse loops guitar, bass, keys, percussion, and beats in real time, building grooves right in front of the audience. A longtime fixture in the Northwest music scene, Jesse has spent decades playing with some of the region’s standout reggae, soul, and roots artists. Expect an easygoing, genre-bending evening made for sipping wine, settling into the groove, and maybe moving around a little too.
